HWH Raise Function - Air Bags

Yahoo Message Number: 4491
Hi all, new to the board and converted over from Foretravel to Country Coach. I have a 2002 Allure, 30780, and cannot get the rear of the Coach to raise when pushing the "raise button". The front goes up immediately, but the rear does not. I can raise the rear with the "rear up button", but as you know you have to be in Park. I am being helped by HWH with the trouble shooting, but just wandered if anyone else has ever experienced the problem. I do most of my own work and have checked the wiring, power, switches, etc.
As a second comment, I found out mine had the bad HWH slide out lines and after some digging, the lines had already been done by a repair shop. CC was no help and didn't even know it was done. When I asked about the lines and if there was going to be a recall, they said no.
HWH was very helpful and verified that their guy had done the job and confirmed the serial and Coach number. If I wouldn't have done my homework, I would have found out the hard way by scheduling the work to be done, only to be told it was already repaired.
Not bashing CC, just seems there should be a little better method of keeping up with these kinds of issues by Coach number and helping the owner(s)stay informed.

Great Board, took me two weeks to get through all the posts, but was well worth the reading and I learned a great deal.

Tom,

There is quite a bit of information in the archives on some of the issues with ride height adjustment valves (we are on our fourth ones in the rear). There is a fuse inside the controller box you can remove if you need to make an emergency adjustment until you can get a repair but your problem sounds like it might be in the contoller's brains. HWH was very helpful in troubleshooting a leveling problem with us (they are great folks to work with), maybe they can help.
Also, talk to Doug Beaudry at CC, he is extremely helpful but expect a wait to get to him.

The slide lines are a known problem and HWH will get you through that hurdle too, something about a bad vendor that they had to fix. Don't expect CC to be much help with slide problems though.

One of the things that CC used to be very good at was knowing everything about your coach, every component and, if it had one, its serial number.

Hi Tom,

I haven't had any problems with HWH. Their service dept appears to be responsive and helpful. Consider trying a new control panel - maybe a bad pc pushbutton. CCI supplies the HWH ops manuals but the wiring is not covered in the CCI manuals. HWH will provide repair manuals on request some(most?) of which can be downloaded from their web site which do contain wiring. The interface between HWH and CCI requires some effort to find.
