front ride height adjustment

I have measured my front ride height and find that Iam 3/4 inch low. About 18 months ago I replaced a rear height valve and found the adjustment procedure in my ad 200 manual, as I recall it was a relatively simple straight forward procedure.I cannot find any info on the single ride height valve located on the IFS front suspension.I see the adjustment shaft, but it seems to ride loosely in a bracket attached to the swaybar.I am very hesitant to crawl under there and start making adustments. Has anyone done this adjustment safely?
