Vegas & Pomona

Yahoo Message Number: 4517
Hello everyone,

I figured I could post one letter and answer many questions. We had a great time at the pre-rally in Vegas and FMCA in Pomona. I met up with David & Karen in Vegas where I observed him in action, trouble shooting a VCR in another customers Intrigue. Many people from this group introduced themselves, it was nice putting a name to the faces. Had a great dinner at the pre-rally with about 30 owners, then saw the Blue Man Group perform.

In Pomona the weather was great. Again many people introduced themselves and in one case, I had to use some detective skills to figure out a name. This guy was hard to crack, but after I found out he had a 32' Allure, and a few other "trick questions" I came up with Mr. Fred Koval (nice try Fred).
The Inpsire showed up in true "prototype" form, this model was a 40' triple slide. Given the last minute circumstances, I think they are on the right track. It was brought down for input from everyone including owners, shoppers, and dealerships. The chassis needs nothing, its a Dynomax semi-monocoque chassis nearly identical to what is used on the Allure and Intrigue. The only difference I could pin point was the smaller 275/70R/22.5 Toyo tires (much lighter coach) and 350HP ISC Cummins engine (standard).

The body style looks great, it has plenty of exterior storage, full body paint, alloy wheels, and a 7.5 Onan QD up front. The awning used was a new armless Carefree model that looked a lot like a Girard, with the triple slide this awning sat very high so they already have plans to change that design and probably go to a new power A&E with arms. The interior floorplan was nice, all hardwood cherry cabinets, tile floors, corion counters, etc. Since this coach was rushed down there was a few items missing like the desk for the chair and ottoman, beveled mirrors, etc. It looked a bit plain but with very little work CC will put some "pizaz" in this model. Many different manufacturers came and looked it over, all complemented it. I definatley look for this model to stay and be a great seller, I will be keeping my eyes on the plant they are built in to see what the next few look like. I am sure Country Coach will have this model dailed in shortly.
The triple slides did very well, the first day of the pre rally both the Allure "Newport" and Magna "Chalet" were sold. We also sold a few 42' triple slide Intrigue Ovation models, and a couple of Ovation "dual slide" models.

The Magnas had a new paint graphic with a prismatic stripe that changed colors. On the interior the corion was polished for a glossy look.

The Intrigue model debuted a new projection TV option. This new option has a 20" color LCD fxed in the overhead cabinets with a pull down projection screen in front of the LCD. You can use either one of the two, if you have an in motion sat system you can use the 20" LCD. The coach at the show had a smaller LCD which Country Coach has said will no longer be used, the 20" will be the new LCD.

Lunch is over, back to piles of paperwork...
