Four Seasons RV Resort - Gold Beach, Oregon

Yahoo Message Number: 62253
We have October reservations at this park. A couple of people (non-Rvers) have expressed concern about driving my 40' coach with toad to this park. They say the road is very difficult.
I've driven lots of curvy mountain roads, but want to make sure I'm not doing something I will regret. Any of you been there?
What about the park itself? The RV Park Review has two good reviews and one very bad.

Thanks, Jim

p.s. I have requested a river site.

Jim,

You shouldn't have any trouble if you get one of the river sites. The problem is not driving to the resort, it is getting parked once you get there. I went there twice with a '99 Allure without IFS (meaning it didn't have much of a wheel cut). and I got in and out okay. I was traveling with my BIL who had a 42' Monaco and he didn't have a problem either. The sites not on the river would have taken a great deal more backin' and fillin' to get situated.

If you are traveling on 101 you shouldn't have any trouble, however, the road from Grants Pass over to the coast (through Brookings) is pretty tight on some of the curves. We did it a few years ago in a 37 footer and we did fine, but it wasn't a fun ride.
