01 Magna - 5999 - Questions

I passed on the 2000 Magna and now looking at an 01. I have a couple questions:

1. The hot water comes out white and foamy and has a smell kind of like plastic that burns the eyes. This is coming from the heater while plugged in and using 120v not the Hydro. The cold water seems fine.

2. There is a pump in the inverter bay that appears to be circulating the hot water water and runs continuously. The plastic mount for this pump is broken and not a big deal, but I need to know it's purpose.

3. The slide seals need replaced, not the scraper, the outside seals that seal when closed. Are they available?

Anyone out there with an 01 that I could talk to would be great, the owner of this Coach is ill and not accessible. My number is 770-634-7530.
