Stopping auto door lock

After 10 months of ownership I still cannot figure out how to disable the auto door lock. I have looked through the coach documentation again today. What happens is the door latch seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes it autolocks and sometimes not. I have tired pushing the unlock button on the security system. Does nothing. We have a 2002 Affinity 42'.
