Coolant Change

Preparing to change coolant in our 2002 Allure, 350 Cummins. The current a/f appears to be ethylene glycol (yellow-green) and I would like to stay with the same type.
Any recommendations as to which brand of heavy duty a/f to buy? Any tips on draining the system? And, does anyone have an idea of the quantity I will need?

Thanks! (I've searched the files and found nothing).

Hello Jim

I just had mine flushed and changed. They used fleetgaurd ES Compleat etheylene glycol (already contains the SCA). They used 14 gallons.

First used regular a/f. It smelled inside the coach, especially when running the Wabasco. Changed out to an organic based a/f (Amsoil) and the smell has gone away. Seems the discussion has been to go with the organic as it was a factory install, now I know why. Did you check your manuel for amount? Will have to add more for the water heating system on your unit.
