Battery Tender 2 band

I'd like some opinions on the "Battery Tender 2 band battery Management System" My Country Coach has two batterys for starting and I've not had any problems, however I will be spending 5 months in Indio and that will be the longest the coach has ever sat without driving it. I've heard that the Battery Tender Plus that is used for one battery works well but I've not heard whether the two bank system will work with RV batteries. All the reviews I've seen for this unit are for cars, boats and motorcycles. Does anyone know whether it unit is good for RV starting batteries? Chuck

I use the Battery Tender Jr. on 8 batteries durning the winter. Works really great. I assume you have 2 8D starting batteries. Not sure 1.25 amps would be enough. Would think more about the 5 amp unit for your load. Isn't the echo charger to keep up your starter batteries? What do they put out? Think 5 amps would be enough. I'm real impressed with the Battery Tender line of products. They are worth the investment in by book. Have saved lots in battery replacement cost.

Leonard,

You are correct. The "battery Tender" brand is a little more expensive but they work. It is all we sell for Motorcycles, ATV's etc.

We had two Tenders on the Bounder. One kept 2 12V battery, and the second kept two Trojans T125 6V units - both fully charged and non boiled.
Good product,

Chuck,

Is your coach equipped with an Echo Charger? CC's did come with one installed but in the later years maybe they were left out as a cost saving measure. If you have the Echo, and the coach is plugged to shore power, then you do not need a seperate battery tender.
