AM Solar Follow Up.

Changed the wires out to 6 ga from 12 ga installed at factory. Just as I was told by AM Solar, I did see a difference. A BIG difference. Had a problem of the solar control seeing the batteries a volt higher then they were, causing the control to think they batteries were charged and drop back. Now the control sees actual battery voltage and produces lots more output. Still have not had a cloudless day at noon, morning low clouds take forever to burn off. But I have see 14 amps for awhile. Never had seen that with the 12 ga wire. AM Solars website talks about what size wire for the watts of the system. They are right on. I did cheat a bit. Just could not stand the thought of having to run the wires all the way back to the batteries, so I ran the new wires to the same connections of the factory install in the electrical bay. Much, much easier. I have actual battery voltage in the bay. Seems to be working perfect.
Thanks for the input and discussion. Now to figure out if I want to update to the new AM Solar panels, in time.
