Windshield Wiper hub

It seems that the hub on the drivers side windshield wiper hub has strip since the passenger side was still working. Did turn it off and drove to a park, still pouring rain. Any suggestion for a quick fit or does the hub need to be replaced. Will try and tighten when the rain stops. Thanks for your suggestion.

Depends on what you have. Remove the wiper arm and see if the tapered cone is removable. Some are. If so, just replace it. If not, then try tightening the nut. Also can find some thing small, soft to put in the wiper arm end and tighten down to see if it will hold. Depends on how bad the grooves are if this might work. The only thing I can think of quick is a couple of stands of small copper wire. If all else fails, you are into a hub assemble and arm replacement. Think simple repair first.

Good Luck.

Mine did that and tightening the nut fixed it.
