I am selling my 1999 Allure which is in excellent condition with only 50,200 miles. I bought the coach new and have not been able to use it very much the last few years as I am the care giver for my 88 year old father. Pictures available by email.

Gary,

I am asking $59,900 for my 1999 Allure. Its in immaculate condition and only has 50,200 miles. Theres a 1999 Allure like mine on rvtrader for $68,000,so I think $59,900 ia a fair resonable price.

We have a 2002 Magna, which is loaded. Bought in FL at Lazy Days. We're the only owner and are asking $139,000. If you know anyone interested, please let us know.

Thanks,

Ken,

Thanks for the reassurance. I thought $59,900 was fair. Especially with the condition my coach is in. I really don't want to sell it, but if I can't use it for an extended period of time someone else should enjoy the coach. Then I'll look at getting another coach once I no longer have to care for my father.

Jon,

My coach is a 99 Allure also. Drove it out of the factory in November of 98.
The control for the water heater is above the entry door in our coach. There is a gas shut off switch under the refrigerator at floor level, up is on and very easy to be turned off. With the switch in the up position, turn on a stove burner. If it lights, then you know that it has LP. On the water heater and refig, you may need to inspect for crud on the igniters. If you need more information, feel free to call me at 925 200 0591. We are in out 15th year of fulltiming in this coach and 185,00 miles .

Bill,

Thank you so much. I am so glad you have the same model and have owned it so long. This is #30367. Sticker left of the door say's "Country Coach 25th Anniversary"? Is this on yours, would this coach be any different due to 25th Anniversary Sticker?
I did get the Water Heater to Lite, took wire to the Igniter off and back on several times. So kit does come on now, but the Pressure Relief Valve weeps, there is a sticker in the compartment saying, "If relief valve weeps consult manual before replacing?
The dash AC doesn't blow very cold at all, I am looking for the Low Pressure Valve on the refrigerant line and haven't found it, I see the High Pressure Valve right at the compressor on in the engine compartment bot no low pressure valve?
Manufacturers Sticker is here http://cranetech101.com/CC_Allure/Country%20Coach%20Manufacturer%20Sticker.jpg

I'm trying to go look at a 99 Allure but so far with schedule issues and now snow it's not going to happen for awhile. The owner doesn't know if it's a solid axel or ifs. I know they switched in 2000 to the ifs. He purchased this 99 in 2000. Is it possible it sits on a ifs chassis? How big of a deal is the solid axel vrs ifs. What would be a fair price to offer. He said he has owned it since new and has all service records and is in excellent shape in and out. It's 40ft with one slide and has 50k miles. Not sure on the date code on tires or condition of batteries. Is the solid axel a deal breaker? Thanks Mike

Mike: If its a Gillig Chasis it is probably a solid axel. I have a Gillig with a solid axel an don't see it as a deal breaker. My tires wear even and I have no problem with the axel. Gillig is a good chassis' Barrie Boas 94 Concept 5111

Mike, I owned a 1999 Allure prior to my 2003, the 99' is a straight axel.

Thanks, Mike 03 Allure 1st Ave. #30898

Do all straight axles necessarily have a harsher ride? If not, I would suspect that it would be an advantage since it would/could be a much simpler and lower maintenance system.

Hi I own a 1999 40ft single slide Allure #30349, it is a solid axle dynamax chassis manufactured by country coach. I have had many comments from mainly Monaco owners regarding the superb ride. On the downside published turn radius for 360 is 70ft and I think it greater than that. Tires wear great, never have felt a need for alignment, great handling other than tight spaces. I run 280-80 r 22.5 load range j michelin tires and must dump all air to get into my hangar, never a tire scrape, or problem. Great coach for cold weather (I live in Alaska and will usually spend time in Fairbanks during winter -40 with no freezing problems as long as furnace (forced air suburban) is operating. Paid 70k for it 4 years ago with 11000 miles and now at 54000 with a new lift pump as only repair, ulsd fuel,. hope this helps.

Can anyone with a 99 Allue tell me how the exterior is holding up. Do they oxidize or get chalky? How about black streaks down the sides.

Can anyone with a 1999 Allure tell how the exterior sides are holding up. Do they chalk or oxidize? Any black streaks coming down from roof. Do they hold a good shine? What do you do to keep up the shine yearly. I know this will vary from being in or outside and possibly part of country.

Have a 99 Allure that I drove out of the factory and it has been lived in full time, so is always out in the open. It was a pain to keep it looking good as the oxidation would always return after a month or so.
The roof was the worst as the white streaks kept coming. 2 1/2 years ago, I put ZEP wet floor look on the whole coach------problem solved. Great shine and easy to keep. Coach now has 191,000+ miles.

Nate,

Thank goodness, the coach has NEVER left us on the side of the road. Had to replace the exhaust manifold once , it broke in half, and the lift pump had to be replaced a few years after the change in the fuel formula. I am a DIY and lube the U-joints once a month and the zerts ever other month. Had my 80th birthday in Jan and task get a little harder. The ZEP has made my job a lot easier. Hope you are enjoying you rig.

Happy late Bday! Its really cool that you have have used your Allure to its full potential and its good to know you have had little problems with your rig. Ours has 50k miles and its used for the yearly family trips and football tailgating. The thing looks new.

Your task may take a little longer but I bet they still get done right!

Thanks

Hello Bill:

I am on several other groups and I have heard about using mop & glo on the fiberglass white part of the roof, but everyone I have spoken with says not to use it on the side panels. Do you have any experience with using mop & glo? Do you get your ZEP at HD/Lowes?

Thanks, Scott

Not only should you not use it one the side panels, if you use it on the roof, you have to be very careful not to let any run down the side or it will leave a streak you can't get off. Speaking from experience.
