Advantium operation

Yahoo Message Number: 64710
After reading the two posts about Advantium failures, my wife has a comment. She says the Advantium directions specially state to subtract 40 degrees from any recipe temperature stated. She says she has never, ever, used temps of 400 degrees or higher. Even pies, which call for about 400 degree temp, is cooked at 360 and come out perfect every time.

Just a caution for those who may not know.

Roger's DW is right on. Convection oven directions always say to use a significantly lower temperature.

Then again, does anyone ever read directions or manuals anymore?

'Dear Wife'

One can just Google these acronyms (I see this one all the time) by asking the question 'What does DW stand for?' True, some cynic might say Dead Weight.

I agree with this statement and also wanted to add: When mine did the same repairman said the oven gets hot in rear and we should have kitchen window cracked, stove fan on at least low and kitchen Fantastic fan on. He also said don't use oven over 400 for long periods (2hrs.)
