Hydronic water heater wont work in electric mode

2004 Country Coach, Allure First Ave. Coach Serial # 30888 In the past when turning on the "electric water heater", it started the "circulating pump" and all was fine. Now the electric part of the heater won't work any more. The circulating pump won't turn on, but the circulating pump works ok when the Hydronic heater is used to get hot water. Please advice. Thank you very much

Any error codes on the panel? Might get the safety pin out and hit the reset button on the panel, to see if does a Microsoft?
OK - So that just about wipes out what I know about these units. So I'll tag along and read as you get other responses:)! Good luck,

I am confused by your post. The zone circulating pumps are controlled by the thermostat on the wall in the coach. The temperature of the coolant in the burner tank is controlled by hi and low limit switches sensing the coolant temperature. When it gets low enough the controller will call for either the electric element, the diesel burner or both to start heating the coolant back up to the cutoff temperature. Some units have separate sensors for the electric and the diesel while other models use only one.
So I have no idea of what pump you are referring to that comes on when you turn on the 'electric water heater'. The Hydronic heater is a generic term for the whole unit whether on electric or diesel. The general operation of all RV Hydronic heaters are basically the same with minor differences with age and manufacturer. What brand of heater do you have? It should be either a Hurricane or AquaHot's smaller HydroHot unit.

Sir, I suggest you call ITR @ 800-993-4402 they manufacture the Hurricane unit and are great at helping solve problems via telephone. You'll probably talk with Randy or Steve.
