Goyen 12BWJ2 water shutoff solenoids

Ken, et al

I could not find any replacement valves after months of searching; but I stumbled across that they make a rebuild kit, model number KM1585, called a "Spare Parts Kit". Shop around as I seem to remember the kit was in the $20-$30 dollar range a couple of years ago when I rebuilt all four on my Concept. A cursory search thru http://www.dogpile.com revealed several distributors:

Clean Air Systems has a catalog of Goyen products at:

Look on page 4 for the 12BWJ2 solenoid and page 5 has the Spare Parts Kit listed with the 1585 being nitrile. I bought mine thru Clean Air Systems. I'll see if I have the number tomorrow when I go into work.

Here's the contact information for Goyen. I think I called, but they referred me to clean air systems, which worked out fine in the long run.

After seeing what I found, I'd recommend rebuilding them all if one sticks or is leaking as all of mine were hyper-cured and either rigid or sticking to one or both sides. The only challenge for me was access to the valves themselves. two were behind a lower panel in the water bay and the other two were across that bay on the other side of the black, grey and clean water tanks. I also had a hard time getting enough of the water out to avoid filling the area around the valves with water. I finally drained what I could, dammed up the area to minimize where the remnants would flow, and uncorked it. Rebuilding is very easy and straight-forward. Just pay attention to the orientation of the diaphragm, and it''l go pretty easy.

Kevin,

thanks for the info. I found the 12BWJ2 on page 5. isn't the 1585 for the AC version? mine are 12v DC and it looks like the KM1665 would be the ticket. I had an email from someone pricing the valves at about $150 each so a rebuild kit for $30 sounds great. mine are all 4 in a compartment within the water bay and look like a pita to get to.

thanks,

Paul please let me know how these work out for you. I also agree that 30 bucks is much better than 150.
Thanks JD
