Plastic coating

My 2005 Inspire has a plastic coating on the front. Over the years it has gotten pitted and scratched. Does anyone no if this coating can be removed safely without messing up the paint underneath? I can get the rest of the coach to shine but I am at a loss as what to do with the front.

This can be tough, as you can loose paint, once it gets to a certain age. I understand that darker paints, are the ones with the most trouble. So budget not just hours of work at shop rates (4-6 would be my estimate), but also then factor on a front paint job too.
Here is a link on how I was able to recover much of the looks on my 3M mask. If it had been better taken care of thru the years (I got it aobut 6-7 months ago), I don't think it would have been that much work.
On mine, much of my clear coat on the film, is gone, so after Alaska I'll remove it and handle the paint that needs to be redone.

The 3M coating on my 2006 Inspire was pretty scratched up when I switched to using Meguiars Ultimate Wash & Wax. After washing my coach a couple of times with Mequiars I noticed most of the scratches were gone and have seemed to stay gone now for about 3 months. I hope it's real and not just an illusion. If you try Meguiars, let me know if it works for your scratches. I bought Meguiars at WalMart.
