Fuel Line to Hurricane leaking

Has anyone replaced fuel lines to a Hurricane furnace? Lines inside bay were wet with fuel and furnace in fault. I am suspecting air in the fuel line for now.

A bunch of us have had the issue of replacing our lines to our Hydro=hots, which cause intermittent

operation and smoking. The cost can very wildly depending who preformed the work. I lucked out in

that Bob Snooks in Tucson was very familiar with my coach and I was allowed to help get immediate

access to lines in the chase above the bays. Chris Snyder was his supervisor at the time. Chris provides mobile service in Arizona, now as an independent service agent and can also help you with your issue..

Paul, here is my explanation to an older post.
Lee & Jerry, just for future reference, my Hurricane "fuel supply" & "return fuel lines" were found leaking. These were both Gates products. I replaced them with AeroQuip Fuel Hoses a division of EATON. The AeroQuip Series of hoses is their FC-332 made from 1/4" ID thru 3/4". It was expensive approx.
$3.50/ft, but it will be there after I'm gone.
For the record my Engine & Generator hoses were a different Gates Pt.# and so far are OK. I contacted gates on the Hurricane hoses that CC put in...they admitted to me that that series Pt. #'s were not their best effort.

Paul, just a guess to get you going temporarily. I had air in my system, and it was suggested that I crack open the bleeder valve to allow air pass via the return fuel hose. It might work with your situation, as I suppose air would pass easier than fuel and might reduce the fuel pressure in the lines. This is a totally off the wall method, but seemed to work for me. Come to think of it, it has been slightly cracked open since last year.
