Air Bag Stabalizer

My 2004 CC Inspire 40' has to much bounce in the front end when going over dips in the road and some time bottoms out. It has been recommended by my service dealer to add Air bag stabelizer valves. Has any one had any experience with this type of product.

I had the same problem some time ago. I had the ride height adjusted and had the shocks (Koni) adjusted to a "stiffer" setting. This solved the problem for me. I would first have these things checked/adjusted before I tried anything else.

How old are the shocks ? Is the ride height with-in the spec's ? Tire pressure ? Just a few things to check. The air bag stabilizers have been discussed on the forum. They have usually not been the answer.

We had the same issue so tightened the shocks and it solved the problem. It also seems like the new Michelin's helped a little bit too.

Thanks for you advice Al, I think the shocks are the original, I purchased the coach used in July, currently has 49,000 miles. I just had them adjusted and the tech said they should probably be replaced. How do I find out if the ride hight is out of spec.

Someone on the forum should have the ride height specs for the Inspire. You can do it yourself if you have access to a pit or access to a drive on block set. Do the front first and that way you will be in the ball park for the rear.
What's the condition of the wear on the right front tire/ wear pattern ? Is it worn on the outside edge a lot more? If you post your location someone might know of a tech.
With 49000 miles maybe a new set of Koni's is a good investment. Go to the Koni site to see if there new super du per one is available.

One comment you may want to consider however, Increasing the ride height somwhat over the ride height was the total answer for my problems of bottoming out . Mine was increased almost 1" over spec.
I had Koni ISD or what ever they were called and they failed.
I reinstalled my original shocks with 80,000 mile and have drived another 8-10 thousand since and the coach rides better than I can ever remember.
Get that ride height under control, then think about shocks. You may not need them.

Concur with the rest of the feeback you've been given.
Set shocks to highest setting (if bad, they will know when setting), suspect you will hear they are OK, as on one my shock strings, many reported high miles on their Koni Adjustables. Yours should be the same as was on our 04 Allure, the SP1 (1st gen of the adjustable), Koni just game out with a more robust SP3 generation adjustable. FSD's were pulled from being sold for the front ends of our IFS rigs.
Setting our ride hieght to the very top of the range (I tried this first), and setting our SP1's to setting 4 out of 5 - improved our ride from a multi bouncer with sometime bottoming out - to a comfortable B- rode. Most CC owners are very pleased with this ride.
I would do those steps first. If you need new front shocks, then make sure you get the SP3 generation shock, and probably go with the 4th or 5th setting on install.

One more person in agreement. Raise your ride height and set the shocks to a stiffer position. I have 115,000 + on my coach, and the shocks are still fine and my ride is great!
