I have just finished installation of a Fisher Paykel drawer dishwasher under the sink of my 1999 cc Allure with kitchen slide. In order to gain the necessary height for installation I used parts available at our local Lowes plumbing dept. Our double sink used a crossover pipe that connected to a single gooseneck that then drained into the main drain located at the back wall of the undersink cabinet. The primary drain has a T that extends upward for about 8 inches to accommodate a valved vent (seems to only allow air in but not out) after removing this valve to modify the drain foul odors soon filled my coach. The modifications necessary to provide room are, shorten the drain tubes under the sinks, I connected mine directly to the 90 elbow on the deep sink and 1 inch drop tube under short sink, this cross T connects to a long tube sloping down about 2" leading into a T above the gooseneck that I relocated against the back wall. I used a T above the gooseneck to connect a 5" stand pipe that serves as the drain for the dishwasher (this is what Fisher Paykel recommends). I then put a 3 way turn off valve into existing hot water 1/2" feed line connecting the 2 3/8" outputs to the kitchen faucet and the dishwasher input feed. Power is connected via the existing outlet that is under the kitchen sink. It is powered by the heart 2000 inverter on my coach when I am not connected to shore power or running generator. I set my dishwasher far enough back in the cabinet so I could replace the doors as originally installed. The available clearances exceed the requirements of the manufacturer. I did have to shim the cabinet in to attach the dishwasher mounts to the sides with 2 30" 2X4 studs. I will get pics posted this weekend when I return home. I have decided to give it a trial run using my modified sine wave inverter after being assured by Fisher Paykel and Xantrex that there will be no issues. Gordo, I did take heed of your remarks but the rep from Fisher Paykel insisted that the DD24 was designed for motorhome use and the weakness in earlier model control boards have been corrected. As a note replacing the cabinet doors doesn't hinder the loading effort and eliminates the need for cabinet work. The doors make it unnecessary to use drawer lock and it is very quiet when operating with cabinet closed. Now if only my inverter test goes well!
