Hi, maybe someone can help me as I need to flush out my fresh water tank and is there a way to do it without running it though the grey or black tank. The coach has been driven but not used as my husband was sick for two years.

Draining Fresh Water Tank

My 2003 Allure has a drain valve underneath the coach plumbing area. It takes forever to drain using gravity. There are a couple of drain valves down there, and I think one of them is for the pump. If you turn the pump on, with the pump valve open, it will pump the tank dry much faster.

I have a friend who adds an eye dropper full of bleach to his hose before he attaches it to the rv. Then he fills the tank. His water taste is similar to any big city water supply that uses chlorine.
