Step Motor

97 Magna 5418. Step motor has died. Anyone with information on part number, price etc.

My step motor died... Kwickee wanted to sell me a "kit" with the motor, controller, etc. for over $200... Removed the dead motor (which was obviously a power window motor) and took it to the local used auto parts yard where the guy identified it as a left rear window motor from a 1994 Lincoln Town Car... He sold me a used replacement for $25... Installed it in the steps and has been working for several years... Take your motor to your used auto parts place and they will more than likely be able to identify it and will probably have a replacement on hand or will locate one for you...

Great information. Have looked around on the net' and find some close. Will try the local yards tomorrow. Like the price point.
