Just when I thought I knew everything, ya learn something. Judy was reading an article in FMCA magazine and said that the Atwood water heater didn't require an anode. I wrote to Atwood:

It doesn't matter what the rod is made out of you don't need one in an Atwood water heater. You are just wasting your money.
