San Antonio Service

I'm hoping someone in the group will be able to suggest a good place to take my '98 Intrigue for service in San Antonio. We'll be traveling there next weekend and staying for about a week. (I also wouldn't mind suggestions for a good RV park to stay in...)

Maybe someone else has had the same symptoms I'm having: While driving, the volt meter will gradually (over a 5 minute period or so) drop from just under 14 volts down to the lowest peg on the gauge, and the red warning light will come on. The gauge will stay like this for a minute or so, then pop back to around 12 - 13 volts, where the process repeats itself all over. The gauge never gets up to 14 volts after this starts happening.

I don't notice any decrease in battery power (engine/generator starting, etc.), but am worried that maybe the alternator isn't putting out enough amps to carry the load.

This happens whether I'm running the inverter or not. We have a GPS unit that is attached to a laptop computer for navigation, so most of the time I have the inverter (Heart) turned on when we're running. When I noticed the volt meter dropping, I turned the inverter off to see if that would change anything, but it made no difference either way.

I'd appreciate any feedback that any of you might have for a CC service dealer, or someone else that you may have had a good experience with in San Antonio.

Thanks for your help for a newbie to the world of RVing.

Evergreen RV on 35 north of San Antonio is an authorized CCI dealer and shop.
They don't know much about Blue Ox braking systems but they should know something about your problem.

Our problem like this was taken care of by replacing the gauge in the dash...

In my opinion, the best place to stay is the "Blazing Star RV Resort" on the west side near Sea World. There is a new Country Coach dealer north of San Antonio just of Interstate 35, but I would recommend "Pro-Tech" in Seguin, TX {888-561-2277}.

I bought my coach from Evergreen RV in New Braunfels and have been very pleased with their service.

If you are a member of Coast 2 Coast, there is a really nice park on Canyon Lake. The only other place I have stayed in the area is Alamo Fiesta. It is very nice.

Thanks to all who replied. We'll probably check out Evergreen, and will likely stay at Blazing Star while in San Antonio.

I appreciate the input from the group, and will be back with more questions after our trip.
