No Hot Water

I just had the coach de-winterized and the hot water is not working after being shut down for the season. Being new to the rig, I have not been able to figure out what happened. I have turned on both the gas and electric heat switches to no avail.

Hoping this is an easy one...(thank you in advance)

Have you checked to see if the water heater is in bypass? Turn off elect/gas modes until you verify that water heater has water in it.

It does not appear to be in bypass, but I am not sure. Is there a separate pump to fill the tank. I am hooked to shore water.
I am getting a bit of luke warm water from the system for maybe a minute or two. I know the gas heater is coming on.

I am surprised that neither gas or elect is working at the same time. There is a reset for the elect. on the water heater on mine. It's best to get out your book and look it over. When you turn on gas mode does the light come on and then turn off?

No Hot Water

Over that last two or three days the amount of hot water produced by our electric system has dwindled down less and less to just cold water this morning. Turning on the hydro-hot doesn't produce any hot water either.

The hydro-hot was serviced just last Tuesday so jets and filters should be good and both worked well for several days following servicing.

Any suggestions for any easy fix? Or, is this something that will take a technician?

I would check the Hydrohot boiler water level. That is done at the plastic tank mounted somewhere in the same compartment. It looks like a windshield washing fluid tank. If it is low you need to fill it with the proper fluid.

My plastic tank appeared OK. Took off pressure cap and water level was to low. Added mix all was good. Turned out hose that leaves pressure cap to plastic tank was blocked at the pressure cap. Cut away about 2 inches tightened clamp and all was well!Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone From:

Try "exercising" the mixing valve. The Hydrohot has a tendency to get clogged depending on the water source. Try turning the valve several turns in each direction coming back to the same setting and it might clear out the valve.

That's not the right way to check boiler level for Hydrohot or Aquahot.

With the boiler cool or cold remove the radiator cap and check level inside the boiler. Fill to the bottom of the fill neck and replace radiator cap. Fill overflow tank to the cold level. Turn on the boiler.

Low boiler fluid level will cause the system to fail to heat.

Thank you group, for thoughtful suggestions from personal experience.

We hit strategic parts, exercised the valve, pushed and pulled a little and there and voila, we have hot water. Don't know which action was the magic but as long as it works, hey, who cares!

This is one great group! So helpful.
