2007, 2008 Affinity and Magna

Yahoo Message Number: 70786
Looking, over the next 30-60 days, to buy an 2007, 2008 Affinity or Magna. Any comments on-line or off-line would be greatly appreciated. Only heard that one should try to focus on late model 2007s and the 2008s, when Bob Lee was there to oversee things.

Thanks for your help. This a very informative group.

George Not sure where you got that the 2007 and 8's were better, but I have an 09 Magna and would speak very highly about it. They changed the ceiling highlight to be flush , rather than hanging down 3 inches, and that gives the space a larger feel . There were also the cabinet finish with highlights that were not available until 09. Depending on when produced the 09's had the 20,000 Lb front end versus the 18,000 which increases carrying capacity, along with larger tires, which you can run at slightly, lower tire pressure for a softer ride. Lastly , if you are into power, the 09's had the 650 HP and 1950 ft-lbs of torque for better climbing of hills. Can't see why you shouldn't , not look , at an 09. The paint graphics also had the shading/fading into one another, versus 07 and 08. I , in fact waited, to get the higher capacity front end , which also includes 2 steering boxes, versus 1 with a bar across to control the passenger side.
Someone recently asked the forum, which was the best CC made. 90 % claimed that the coach they bought, was the best made ( for a variety of reasons ). Therefore , hard to get straight answers sometimes. Hard to imagine , any manufacturer being that good.

I like the flush windows that come standard in the Affinity and are not available on the Magna.

I agree that I like the look of the windows in The Affinity than on the Magna. However, on my 07 Magna I have developed seal failure on most of the windows which requires a trip to Suncoast to have the windows removed and resealed. Last time there they said that they could not do the Affinity windows. I would check to be sure because a failure is a given.

We have a 08' Custom Affinity, except for the usual new coach teething problems it has been wonderful to us. Everything still works and it's a pleasure to drive and live in.

Our 08' Affinity has been trouble free (so far) with window seal issues.
Suncoast is the place to go if you are have window fogging or moisture between the glass issues.
I have never heard a bad word spoken about them and we are in Florida.
