Water Leak 2003 Intrigue

Yahoo Message Number: 71025
My new to me 2003 Intrigue has for the most part either been in dry weather or in a garage since I purchased it. But recently I started parking it outside and it has been rainy. The vertical gasket at the front of the door that wedges between the door frame and the front door jamb (it is a thick fairly spongy gasket) has become totally soaked with water down the entire length of it. I assume rain is entering the gap at the top of the door and then soaking down that vertical gasket.
What it supposed to be keeping that water out?

We are having the very same issue in our new to us 2006 Intrigue! Please post if you figure it out, and we will do the same. We are heading up to Eugene, Oregon next month to get some windows repaired or replaced at Coach Glass (the seals broke on several and they're very cloudy) and are going to stop by Country Coach and ask them.

I had a similar issue where water was collecting inside at the bottom stair step after it rained. I found that the Girard awning was allowing water to leak inside the coach through the wire harness under the front fairing. The water was going inside the MH and down the door jam to the floor. Once sealed the wire entry hole and the awning fairing, all is OK.

I am still chasing this leak. And that vertical gasket gets absolutley soaked top to bottom. At times water will squirt in a small stream out of one of the hinges. You can push on the the gasket and water will emit just like out of a sponge.
I thought maybe it was the top of the door gasket and so I masked off the top and front edge of the door but after a hard rain the vertical gasket was all soaked again.
Larry, I have the Zip Dee main awning so no electrical wire. Most recently I masked off the roof to body side trim panel above the front of the door to see if that does any good. As much water as is getting to that gasket it would seem it would be easy to find, but not yet.

If you have an awning over the door, you may want to check the awning for leaks, especially where it attaches to the coach.
There was a discussion on this board lately about the same issue. It was found to be the awning attach points were not sealed well.
