Onan Generator fan belt?

I have a driver's side mounted 8.5K Onan generator with 800 hours and just wondering if the generator must be removed to change the fan belt? Anyone change the fanbelt in one of these? TIA

I had my 8.0K with 950 hrs replaced this spring. The mechanic saved the old one for and it was well overdue. I had them replace it as I could not see how I could do it myself as there is no idler pulley. Not an easy job judging by the cuts and bruises on the mechanics hands.
