Looking for RV site Shasta lake Calif ideas

Yahoo Message Number: 71486
Were heading for Shasta lake in July to meet friends who have rented a house boat for 10 days. Looking for best please to park our 40 coach, will need 50 amp power and the safety if we spend a night or two on the house boat leaving the coach. Cost is not a concern.

Thanks mike/Anne spinetti

I need to have the stop lights disconnected when my exhaust brakes activate.
Can someone recommend a place in the Grand Junction or Montrose, CO area. I am towing a cargo trailer and the brake controller "sees" the brake lights come on and activates the brakes on the trailer anytime I take my foot off the accelerator with exhaust brake switch on. I don't want to burn up the trailer's brakes!!!

I don't know if this should be handled by an RV dealer or a CAT/diesel service center. Recommendations please.

Judy:

I tow a trailer everywhere we go with our coach as well. When I installed the trailer braking system, I also put a toggle switch in the circuit from the brake light switch. This is low amperage, so a "standard" Radio Shack toggle switch has large enough contacts. Don't put it in the circuit to the brakes!!
So, when I descend a long grade I can switch off the trailer brakes so they don't activate.
This solution may be the simplest for you to have done. Just have the toggle switch located where you can reach it easily.
In fact, you could also have an LED light installed along with the switch to remind you that you have no trailer brakes.
