Shower Water Running out bottom of Coach

Yahoo Message Number: 72892
Just bought this 1998 Magna this past weekend and each evening I have been going over systems and trying to learn what I can. This evening I checked the water flow in the bathtub and it worked fine, however when I turned the valve to change the water flow to the shower I got nothing and my wife pointed out that there was water running out fron under the coach. OOOOH NO.
Well I got out and the water was running out of a hose, some type of drain ?????? located just forward of the right rear tires behind the LP tank. I looked under the tub from the outside and from the beroom closet (afer removing the drawers) and no leaks. I thought that this may be a low point drain and the sporlan valve was stuck or dirty so I turned on the drains and water came from two other locations.
OK what is this hose, I looked under and it appears that it just comes out of the tanks ??? I took a bolt and fairly loosely screwed it in the hose and the shower worked until the pressue blew the bolt out of the hose. I am not hooked to city water just using the pump. Nothing leaks until I turn the valve to the shower position and I get a good flow out this hose and nothing in the shower. IN looking under the tub noing appear loos and stop up this hose and the water flows properly.

Anybody got any ideas??

I'm sure someone here more familiar with your model will chime in. A couple of things you might check and I'm not sure these would cause your symptoms: Is the city water valve turned off? And, check to make sure your outside shower faucet is off. It could be on, with the outside shower head valve off which can cause some weird symptoms to include no/little water flow inside.

Brian,

The only thing that makes sense is the line or hose that runs from the mixing valve to the shower head has come loose or was installed improperly. What does the previous owner have to say?

Just an idea. Remove the shower head from the water line in the shower. Then turn on the water pump and see if you get water through the line.

If so, the shower head is plugged and needs the vinegar treatment.
If not, maybe the shower head line is disconnected from the plumbing system.

I have a 98 Magna #5489 but it does not have a bathtub so this may not apply but on mine it is relatively easy to access the shower controls. My shower is right behind the kitchen and the mirrored splash guard on that wall in the kitchen can be removed by taking off the trim and sliding the mirror forward. Once you do that you have access to the shower controls and can check the valves and connections.

Hope this helps,
