Anyone tow one of these little jewels four wheels down? Remco site says no to automatics but unclear on straight shift.

I don't tow a Mini, however, while in Cooperstown, NY our neighbors was towing a Mini. When asked how he liked it he said it was great. Very light and easy to tow. He has the 6 speed transmission and the only issue was he needed to leave the key fob in the car as it did not have a key for the ignition. The key fob would allow him to turn the car onto accessories to release the steering wheel.

Hope this helps a little,

Here in CA I've seen several as "toads" ~ and talk about Goliath towing David, the contrast in size is almost comical! I could have sworn that I saw one that was an automatic, but I'm not 100% sure. Very interested in any responses as well, as we have a Cooper S Convertible which would really be a fun touring car. Ours is a stick though.
Not to hijack your topic, but a related question would be what the best tow bar hook up would be, as we'd like to keep the front of the Mini "clean" when not being towed.

Our Friend is towing a Mini Cooper with their Prevost. He says that any four wheel vehicle can be towed. Enjoy the Mini. They look fun to drive.

I disagree with the statement that "any 4 wheel vehicle can be towed". Read the owner's manual on your vehicle. Most (many) state that they cannot be towed 4 down.
