Replacing Carpet/Tile with Wood Laminant

I would like to replace the carpet and the tile with a wood laminate. What special considerations should I be aware of ? Currently I have two indentation on the carpet behind the drivers seat where the slide went retracted. How do I or can I adjust the tract so this will not happen if I replace with laminate ? Any ideas or comments would be appreciated.

Stan, whenever you take carpet and pad out, you can articulate your slide to observe what impacts the floor from the slide. I have a fibre optic camera that I use to do just this. It also helps to locate any factory remnant debris that is under there. You can also pull down the rubber seal and pry your carpet up to facilitate removal.
