Gen Set Shut Down w/ No Code

Yahoo Message Number: 73887
Stu,

The first thing I would do, is remove the radiator cap and make sure the coolant level is all the way to the top of the filler neck.(not just coolant in the overflow) If you still have a shut down, extend the generator and press the "Stop" side of the switch. If you hear the filter filling with fuel, you may have an intermittent fuel pump. I had the coolant issue shutdown with no code, but I had a code with the fuel pump and fuel lines when they failed. The code was for an "unscheduled shutdown." You could also have an electrical problem from your remote as you stated. That coolant level issue drove me crazy for awhile. I ended up flushing the cooling system, installing new coolant, thermostat and water pump belt. Things have run smoothly since.
