Cat Oil cap recall

Yahoo Message Number: 74069
Folks, I followed up on this notice with Joe Blankenship at Fabick CAT in Springfield, MO. The CAT notice on this effects all engine models. Joe confirmed Ed's report as follows.
"If the engine is still covered by CAT warranty and the filler and cap is leaking, then yes it should be cover under warranty. If the unit is out of warranty and or the filler/cap is not leaking then no it will not be covered and the customer will be responsible."?

Thanks, Joe Blankenship, Service Supervisor -----

I have the CAT Notice if anyone is interested.

Lee, I guess I need of copy of the CAT notice. I talked with the truck manager at Dean Machinery in KC, MO to set up an appointment, but he told me my C-13 s/n was not one that had a problem. Had he been a little more friendly I would take his word for it.

Thanks,

Mike Womack, 08 Intrigue, s/n 12239
