Beeping nuts

Yahoo Message Number: 74678
I have a beep coming from somewhere in my coach that is starting to drive me nuts. It can be a series of beeps like the turn signal but not as loud or an almost continuous beep. It only happens when I am driving. I am pretty sure it is not the CO or LP detector or the refrigerator, or the tire monitor. It might be coming from inside the dash. I run silverleaf diagnostics and all seems normal along with everything on the dash. (no idiot lights or gauges out of range) It doesn't do it all the time but it is getting progressively worse.

Any ideas?

John,

Visit this group's website and do a message search for "dash beep" and glace through the possiible problems.
The two common answers, out of the 61 messages/replies containing dash beep, are:

* Odometer setting - change back to total miles from trip miles.
* tire monitor settings.

See one of the messages below about the trip odometer:
I believe that I have now cured my annoying beeping noise, as suggested I changed the odometer reading from total miles. I have selected current MPH in numerical format which I believe is more accurate than the analogue speedometer, and its only a couple of presses on a button to view total miles and trip info.
I have travelled over a thousand miles in this setting with no beeping, sanity restored.

Another message about tire monitor:

Re: beeping noise

I also have a 08 Allure 470 that HAD the intermittent beeping. I took it to Country Coach Factory service in Junction City and they could not fix what was not broke.

While I was there waiting for them to finish other repairs on our coach, I walked over to Les Schwab Tire Center 222 W 1st Ave, Junction City, OR 97448 (541) 998-3319 to price tire sensors for my towed Jeep.

I took our coach and Jeep over to Les Schwab Tire Center for installation of tire sensors on the Jeep and programming of the coach tire monitor. After talking to the manager he said the beeping is coming from the tire monitor not being programmed from the factory correctly. He reprogrammed the monitor and no beep. If you have a coach with tire monitor take it to a shop that can program them and set the monitor to the proper tire pressures. This should fix the beep.

Thanks for the responses on and off line. I will check the archives. Unfortunately, for this problem, I am now parked for 3 weeks so I will check when I get moving.

But, one question.

My speedometer is mechanical, with a small digital display for Odo, trip1, trip2, and Trans temp. Are we talking about the same thing?

John, my speedometer is the same as yours. Also, it looks like your coach production number is incorrect. You might check but I think it may be 12028, though I still wonder, as my 2007 Intrigue came off the line in Oct or Nov, 2006 and is 125 numbers higher than 12028.

Cheers,
Lee
