Coach-Net road assistance service

Hi Folks,

Some questions.
1. Will coach-net install a spare tire - remove the failed tire from the rim and install a spare tire on the same rim?
2. Do you have a choice to either have your coach towed or have a road side technician, but not both?
3. Are parts and labor are extra for a roadside repair?
4. Where will they tow you - to a city where motorhome repairs are available or where you want?

I haven't given up yet on doing my own repairs, but age brings wisdom.

I lost most of my oil outside of Cleveland, OH. Coach Net made all the arrangement to tow coach to Cat service in Broadway Heights, OH about 40 miles. They arranged with the Cat service we would be coming and were ready for us when we arrived.. Tow was there in 45 minutes and made sure the tow would do no damage. Brought 40#'s of oil sweep. Very efficient. Very good service. Just signed the invoice, no charge to me.

Have had too many experiences with Coach-Net; but they came through each time.
My experience is you can get a road side service call or a tow but not both.
Have had mixed experience in asking for a flat bed rather than a dolly. I believe there is less risk of damage with the flat bed.
They tow you to a service facility that they believe has the capability to work on the suspected issues. We have been towed twice to a CAT facility even though in one case it required two tows because it was over a holiday and the CAT dealer was not open.
They towed us to an RV Park for the week end and then picked us up on Monday an towed to the CAT dealer. Bad gauge and ran out of fuel.

I had a tow similar to Jock Vargo. At the start of a trip, barely a mile from my home, my engine RPM dropped and slowed me to a maximum of 20 MPH. I indicated to Coach Net that I had no experience with the local RV service centers but, that I had total confidence in Colton Truck Terminal which was 100 miles away. They said,"No problem". Coach net sent a huge tow truck with an operator who really understood the concerns of RV owners. He did an excellent job. I followed with my toad in case the coach work may have required several days. Coach net had called Colton Truck and made arrangements for my coach to be serviced almost immediately upon its arrival. They had explained the problem to the service tech, so he was already prepared to start. My repair involved a failed brake light switch and was replaced immediately. I was on my way that afternoon.

Based on my past experience:
1. You decide if you want a mobile meckanic or a tow. You pay for parts and labor for a mobile mechanic. They pay for the trip charge.
2. They also will provide you with knowledgeable technical advice on engine and chassis issues. They will patiently walk you through the diagnosis and repair procedures if you decide to attempt to DIY.

I have had very poor experiences with AAA RV. No experience with Good Sam. But, I heartily recommend Coach Net.

They will change out a mounted tire/wheel free of charge. Dismounting and remounting on rim is not covered. You have to work that out with the service tech.
I believe the one or other on the tow/road tech is correct Parts/labor are extra

They tow to nearest qualified service center. Where you want if it's not further.
