And we laughed about the Veranda.

I'd rather have the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and my good old CC Allure.

When I looked at the site, it didn't look like there was a kitchen of any sort in the coach. Just the fancy bar. I'll keep my CC.

Not sure about my future, but it is nice to see some innovation and different designs. I know there are only so many ways you can design the layout of a 40-45 foot box but each time shopping for a new coach becomes a mind numbing event. I mean how many different shades of brown are there in the interior design palette? I like seeing people push the envelope with design that may eventually trickle down to us.

We picked up our Intrigue in Dec '06 and don't remember any "rolling Rhapsody's" at that time.
Was just curious when yours was built and I assume it is #7...........which is all I thought CC ever built. Do you know the Rhapsody history?

Roger,

Sorry to hijack this thread, but to answer the questions. Yes, we picked up coach #7 over this summer. It was the first and prototype coach. We are working out a couple of issues, but overall love the coach. It certainly is not for a novice owner, that's for sure. There is definitely an electrical gremlin at times, but the only major issues are the Crestron system that runs most of the coach systems and one of the Valid slide rooms - both being worked on. The Crestron system likes to lock up and reboot. I was able to get most of the programming files from CC and have a Crestron tech reprogramming the system. Slide D is tempremental and sometimes doesn't like to extend or retract, but i always can get it moving eventually. From what i have heard Newell's also have the occasional Valid slide issues, so not sure this is unique to CC. Outside of that, she is mechanically sound so far, including the steering Tag axle.
I known at least coaches 8 through 10 were built, but only know the whole history of ours and coach 10. From the marketing literature that I have seen, all the photo shoots were of coach 7 and 8. It appears I'm the only owner in the group. I've spoken and exchanged emails with the owner of Coach 10. I'm pretty sure it was coach 9 that was sold by Motorcoach Specialists down in TX about a year ago. If you search, there is a YouTube video of the coach they were selling. If I have the story right, this coach is in Florida, but that's all I know. Coaches 7-9 were sold through a now defunct dealership in NJ. From what I read, the owner of the dealership is in federal prison for check kiting and my guess that is how MHSRV got coach 9.
I recently requested a listing of the drawings for the coach from CC and from the file I got, there are drawings (with design modifications) for coaches up to coach 17, but don't know how many beyond 10 were built. At least one rolling stock was sold at the liquidation auction. 10 coaches total makes sense because I ran across a recall document on the Cat C15 engine used and it said they bought 10 of the in the series. Also from the drawings there were 2 layouts, the Opus (ours and at least 8-10) and one labled "SY", my guess for Symphony. No clue what that layout looks like.
Sorry for going into so much detail and hijacking the thread, but when I was searching for information about this model prior to our purchase, so little information is out there and very little of it here. Eventually all coaches will come up for resale, and I hope to help the next person that might find one of these rare birds as I'd love to meet some of the other owners. There are so many unique systems on these coaches that a lot of the discussions here are not applicable, so I usually just lurk in the shadows and enjoy reading the conversations.

Oh and ours was delivered in mid 2007. We are in PA, but I currently have the coach on Long Island, NY and coach 10 is based in SoCal, but travels within the Indy car circuit. Coach 10 was purchased new, is a one owner coach and I believe we are the second owners of coach 7. We have about 51k miles on ours (2k we put on her).
