Safe under bed

Yahoo Message Number: 75493
Bought this coach a year and a half ago, but never tried to open the safe under the bed. The previous owner never used it and doesn't remember the combo. Any ideas? I need all the storage I an get!

Jim...

If the coach came with the original documentation, look in the expandable file folder... If you are lucky you will find a post-card size document with the safe combination filed under "V" for "vault"...
If the vault combination isn't in the file folder, Meilink will send you the combination if you send them the serial number of the safe, a notarized statement of ownership, and $12.00...

I don't have their address, but the website is :

Jim,

There was a card with the combo in the file cabinet on mine.

Jim:

If the last owner never used the safe or programmed a combo for it, the factory combo would be ( C 1 2 3 4 # )

The CC owners manual give these instructions which worked for me.

Spin the dial several times to the left and stop on 50.
Turn the dial right to 0 and lift the lid.

Locksmith can reset the combo.

Thanks to everyone who responded. It was very helpful. I have found the following:

Safe is made by Meilink
Model is WVD

The serial number listed behind the bathroom cabinet matches the actual safe serial number.
There are instructions and a combo in the owners manual envelope It is for a different serial number safe.
In fact the whole owners manual envelope is for coach #5624 and my coach is #5629. Ugh! Called Meilink and they want a nonrefundable $99+ to "research it".

This is a counting combination safe. If you have the combo, wherever the dial is on, start turning it to the left 4 times counting each time you pass the first number in the combo, stopping on the 4th time. Then start turning right counting 3 times each time you pass the 2nd number in the combo stopping on the third time(2nd number). Last turn left twice counting the 3rd number in the combo stopping on the 2nd time(3rd number). Then turn to the right until the dial stops. Turn the T handle and your in.

I just recently purchased a 2007 Allure and looked through the paperwork that came with the coach. There was not any card indicating the combo for the safe/vault. I emailed Phoenix Safe USA. For my model, they emailed me back sending a instruction sheet to reprogram the lock or combination. I have EPL21 model and I will include what they sent me in this email. Hope this helps. Dave

Thanks Dave. My coach it a bit older and the safe was made by a different company. Maybe this will help someone else in the future. I've found so much great info searching the archives here.

Did you check through the multitude of folders of info that came with your CC? We found our combo buried inside one of the books detailing info about the safe. Ours though, is an older model '95 Magma. Safe works fine, though.
