I just bought a 2000 Affinity and have a couple of questions.

Winterizing:

I have blown out all of the lines, including the ice maker, washer and toilet. How about the three roof top A/C heat pumps. Do they use a water system that has to be brown out? If so where is the access?
Next; I have a leak coming from out of the evaporator in the front behind the passenger side dash. I pulled the access cover inside the coach. It looks like it has a clear line that has been bent and has a tear in it. Thus, leaking through the hose access points for the hydronic heat and other hoses. It is leaking on the wood base but where does it get the water? I thought it was antifreeze and I thought I smelled some as I drove. But the leak under the front of the coach is water. I looked at my manuals and all it shows is the unit itself. Sure has a lot of wire connections to it but I can't see a clear point to take it out.

Hi, and welcome.

There is no water at the roof airconditioners / heat pumps, just the condensate drains that are routed from them to the bottom of the coach.
I have never had any water freeze problems with them. I guess you could pull the covers on the air conditioners and blow air down them if you wanted.

On the evaporator it is probably just the OTR airconditioner condensate drain if it is really only clear water. Don't know for sure, just my guess. I know it's not to everyones taste or budget, but, nearly all my maintenance is done by mechanics / technicians at the shop.

This happened to me once. I thought it was the over the road air. I had turned the fan off but left the A/C on and I thought it may have frozen up and was the thawing out and leaking under the front of the coach. I don't know if that is possible but it hasn't happened again. Barrie Boas 94 Concept 5111

Dummy me, didn't connect with heat pump, similar to A/C on boats that draws from the water, heat and cold.
Found the leak and it was actually anti-freeze from the automotive side to the heater, was able to repair the hose. Did have condensation from the clear hose at the same time an that was what confused me.
This unit was a former Repo that sat in some dry and hot weather for a lengthy time and a lot of things have either dried out or just plain need some TLC. Former owner got a lot of it turned around and now I'm finishing up some of it.
Problem for me is I live in a rural town in Michigan and there isn't a lot of places to take it. Closest place is an hour and half away and they don't do the best of work. Next is a place that they seem to want you to buy the business with their prices.
Thanks for the suggestions. Now to figure out why my front fan on the hydronic system isn't working. Have the furnace on and the galley living room area works on the same zone.

My fans work off a relay; The front two are on one relay; the bathroom/bedroom on another; You could check those. Mine are mounted (6 in total) just to the front right of the hydrohot control panel
