Simi Valley area Parks

Hi fellow travelers,

We are planning a visit to the Reagan Library the first week of March and wondered if anyone had a suggestion for a place to stay within 20 miles or so? we have looked at rvparkreviews.com.. but would love CC owner's opinions.

Thanks,

I have stayed in both Tapo Canyon and Oak Park. Tapo Canyon is much nicer and has full hookups, BUT there is no Verizon cell phone service which was a deal killer for us. We then moved to Oak Park where the cell service was fine. More convenient, but not quite as nice and a train runs very close to the park. The noise didn't bother me at all, but I thought I would mention it just in case. The spots have 30 amp service and water, no sewer. We were there for extended stays last spring and felt it was very safe. Regan library would be a short drive from either. There are usually very few other campers, so getting a spot should be easy.

Good luck!
Jim
