Echo Charger not working?

Yahoo Message Number: 77570
Greetings

I have an 08 Intrigue 530 and replaced all my batteries (4 8D and 2 Chassis) with new Lifelines last summer. My coach has been plugged into a 20 amp circuit all winter and SilverLeaf shows 8D's at float.

My starters are dead as a doornail though.
I assume the Echocharger my owners manual says is installed is not functioning, is reversed, or in line fuse is blown. My problem is I can't find it. It is not in the compartment with the inverter and transfer switch that I can see, nor do I find it in the engine compartment.
Can anyone with an 08 Intrigue or similar with knowledge where it is, help to point me in the right place? Maybe take a pic and forward it, as I don't see anything resembling what is pictured in the manual. Or instruct me which cables to follow away from the House 8D's to find it?
Also, if I hold down the battery boost switch, power is sent to the starter batteries. A momentary amount of power. So does this indicate anything regarding the lack of function, or are these circuits separate from the echo charger?
Finally, will wedging the battery boost switch to allow charging of the starter batteries for a long time (hours), burn out that circuit, or not do the job anyway?
I know I can remove the cables and charge the batteries individually, but I'd lke to solve this. The alternator did keep them charged with travel last fall.

Thanks for any help...
Ed

Ed,

Try the battery compartment, forward wall up high. About 4" x 4".

Hi Ed

Do a search for my name or echo charger on this list. I had the same exact problem with my 08 Intrigue and described the solution in one of my postings.

Ed,

I have the same problem & have met several others on the road , again with the same problem.

I purchased a 2nd echo charger and still the same problem.

When it is light enough this morning, I will take a series of pictures of where it is located and send it to you.

On mine it is located in the area of the house batteries. I just take the panel above the batteries off and look towards the back. I can see the green light and the wires.

Thanks

Will wait for pix.

Looked again in all areas people said, and still no luck.
My wife questions my intell at times, but really, I may be dumb, but my sight is still fair.

My Echo Charger is located in the chassis battery compartment- up high and to the right of the battery. When pluged into shore power there is a green light that either shines or blinks ( can't remember which). Don't know where the power comes from- either house battery or the inverter/charger.
don't recommend wedging the booster switch to charge battery- could over charge chassis battery as they have different compacities.

Hi Ed

Now that you can locate the echo charger please feel free to call me at 480-209-2696 regarding the two MAJOR problems on my Intrigue that I found and fixed as my chassis batteries also would die when plugged in to shore power. The problems and fixes are just too complex for me to type them again!
