black water smell in wardrobe

I have never let my black water tank get about 50 percent but I am somewhere where there is no dump facility. Opened wardrobe to a whiff of pungent air. Removed drawers and noticed that the vents to the roof go in the back of the wardrobe. Anyone else experience this and did you just put some silicon seal on the pipe joints? There's a ton of it where it comes through the floor. Probably have to stick my nose on the pipe.

The problem is NOT where it comes through the floor.
You need to get in the basement and find the connections on top of the black tank. One or more may have broken or dislodged. It would be an easy fix if you could have good access or if your name is Gumby. don't ask how I know.

Jon,

On my Inspire the washer/dryer is adjacent to the wardrobe at the rear of the coach. The connection for the washer drain is accessible through a removable panel inside the wardrobe. If the washer hasn't been used regularly the water in the p-trap on that drain can evaporate leaving a "vent" from your grey tank to the back area of your wardrobe.

Just a thought.

Run a short rinse cycle in the WD to fill the p-trap.
