Fuel Level - How low do you go (reallyno baffles in tank?!?!)

Yahoo Message Number: 79106
When I took delivery of my Allure way back when we took it for a test drive with less than a 1/4 showing

on the fuel guage. Well, the genset quit with the needle just below and snugged up against the quarter

mark. I ended up putting 90 gallons in the 110 gallon tank. When I bought the Intrigue, told the gent who ran the plant for Allure Intrigues to only fill the tank to a quarter after the road test. After the rally in Eugene we drove the coach in the area until the genset quit. 105 gallons later, on CC the tank was

full. On this coach the needle sits about a needle width above empty. I never let the fuel level drop

below 1/2 during my travels, unless heading to a known fuel source. TWI 2004 INTRIGUE 11731/98

I agree with Ron's analysis and the use of the Silverleaf to determine gallons consumed. The 30 gallon take-away is a good way to determine your ceiling for maximum fuel to use. I have a tank rated for 135 gallons and use 100 gallons as my maximum to use. I have gone to 110 twice without a problem, but was looking for the truck stop!
At just about all my fill-ups (over 30,000 miles) the gallons added are within 1 gallon of the Silverleaf reading of gallons used.
