Passenger Seat Powered Foot Rest-Fix

Just love it when a plan comes together.
Passenger seat foot rest no longer raised all the way, sounds like stripped gears could be heard. Pulled it apart to find the electric lift was made by a Korea company. Company still in business but offer no parts. Decided to modernize it with a electric actuator. Much measuring and on-line study lead to a model that "should" work. Managed to locate one it local town of Eugene Oregon. Required the drilling of two holes and hooking up two wires. Works great. Doesn't have enough power to raise one's leg un-assisted, the OEM did not either. But it works sweet. Not sure a powerful enough one to raise one's legs un assisted would put to much stress on the seat frame and leg lift mechanism.
This is the company in Eugene that had it on the self. http://www.e-motionllc.com/
This is the unit: http://www.e-motionllc.com/6_stroke_150_lbs_force_standard_actuator_p/fa-150-s-12-6.htm
The key information is the 6" of stroke. The OEM had 4.5", and 150 lb lift. They make the same with 200# lift. As the stops on this are not adjustable one can overrun the scissor lift on both ends and apply the full 200# very easy. I think it would take some reinforcing the seat frame to use it without bending things under the seat. The 150# applies enough to see distortion.
And this is the clamp that makes it such an easy install. http://www.e-motionllc.com/MB6_Bracket_p/mb6.htm
May your feet rest in peace.
