pioneer monitor integration with camera's

For 9 weeks I am the proud owner of a 05 Magna. The coach is equipped with a Pioneer AVIC-N4 ( with the flip up monitor).
When I got the coach the following scenario worked well: Back up camera when driving in reverse.
Side camera's when flasher activated in either direction.
What the system did not do, is let me monitor the tow while driving.
RV service looked at; could not help.
So I applied page 131 of the AVIC N4 manual and voila, now we have that working. The bad news is what worked before does not work any more. a)no view , blank monitor when driving in reverse.
b) turning on either side flasher , shows the camera image for 1/2 second, and than goes blank.

I know its not a loose wire or such. I suspect it has to do how to initiate that camera tumble switch on the dash.
Can not get it resolved.

Hope that the brain trust can help me with this one.
If so, I will not go beyond 2 shades of grey.
