Slide movement

Yahoo Message Number: 5901
I have had something really strange happening. A few days ago, I noticed that the living room slide was only part way out. I figured that I had just not put it out all the way and did not realize it. But, this evening, I came home after being gone for a few hours, and the slide in the same position as a few days ago. The rig has been parked for 2 days and I know that it was fully extended this morning. The keys were not in the switch and the key to the slide was off. Somehow it has come in while I was gone.
Ghosts????

Any clues???

Ree,

If the 03 is the same as my 02, sounds like there is an internal leak in the hydraulics releaving the pressure. My entire HWH slide system had to be replaced because of bad hoses, but yours is about 70 numbers after mine and that problem was solved by HWH. Let us know what you find... HWH is real helpful, ask for Joe.

My slide manual discusses what to fix when the slide creeps out. I have not looked at it in detail because I do not have that problem, yet.

Ree, my Allure is pretty close to yours (30811) and HRH replaced all of the hydraulic hoses for both slides on a recall. In fact, they came to a rally I was attending in Hot Springs , Ar and did the work there. I had no symptoms, but they did it anyway. If I were you I would contact HRH. They are first class.

Our 2002 Allure (30778) had bad hoses also - we never noticed slide movement, but we had hydraulic fluid leaks both inside and outside.
HWH was absolutely super when I contacted them - they even made the arrangements for when we were to take the coach to our dealer. HWH flew in a couple of guys to do the actual hose replacement after the dealer dismantled the access points. The whole process took about 3 days - we had to leave the coach there 5 days due to our schedules.
However, another friend with a 2002 Intrigue also had slide movement - he had left his coach at a resort and while at home we had to contact him - his slides were creeping OUT. He had a total hose replacement by CC at Lazy Days.

HWH got a batch of bad hoses from their supplier, and as soon as they recognized the problem they have done everything to "make it right".
They just don't have any way of knowing which coaches (not just CC's) got the bad hoses.

We have had the same problem since we picked up our Allure. We also have an 03 allure with double slides in the living room. We have had it at JC about 3 times and each time they assure us it's fixed, but it isn't. Frankly we have given up.

If CC cannot fix the slides creeping out then contact HWH. They should be at the rally in OR if you are going to that. My knowledge is limited but the solenoid valves are probably ineffective and need to be replaced. Mike 2000 Allure.

When I was at JC, one morning I noticed the slide gasket was all messed up. Took them 4 days to get it fixed where it would not leak. The problem started after that. Maybe coincidence, maybe not.

Thanks,

That's the funny part CCI have replaced BOTH solenoids, as well as all the hoses. I wish we could go to the rally but unfortunately we both have to work.

I had the same problem, it was solved by having the solenoid which holds the slide closed change by a reputable shop (not CC). No warranty help from HWH.

I used M&M Coach Specialists in Chino Hills, bet ya lunch that Carrier and Sons in Eugene could fix it in one stop (they can get warranty reimbursement if you are covered).
