We used the 5200 with a combo drilling wholes and screwing the strip tight to the side. Used SS screws, and as I recalled it was a hard drill job!!! Normal best practices of cleaning the area for 5200 application well. Besides screwing, I also used Gorila Tape to help as it was bonding too... I left the slide out for the full 24 hours cure time.
Scott has some pictures on how he also used a vinly tape over the edge of the stip to the side of the slide, to aid in keeping water from seeping into the seam. Yes, the 5200 should do this too, but I liked how he did this. Just have not found the right color of vinly tape to do so yet...
