C9 engine dies

Yahoo Message Number: 80815
Hi, Has anyone have the engine of their C9 go out while driving? We also have trouble starting the engine. We use the boast to start the engine when it decides to act up. Any help would be apprectiated.
Thanks,
Mariane

I have had air get into the fuel system and the coach will not start or just quits. Both times it was a problem with the water separator, some how it was getting air into the fuel system.

Yes, ours would shut down at cruise and sometimes start running before stopping on the side of the road. Sometimes it would stop and be hard to start again. Went to Cat in Ft Myers and after a try with a pressure regulator, they replaced the fuel pressure pump ( Huey Pump ). The computer showed many fuel pressure faults. Also, replacer 3 injectors which is common with pump failure. All is fine now and has been for 10,000 miles. The simple thing to do is filters, but test driving can sometimes put you in situations that lack safety. The pump and injectors were not cheap. Good Luck !

Thanks, Ned.

This morning at the CAT truck stop, the tech found loose wires under the dash panel. They also discovered loose wing nuts on all the battery holders of the house batteries. The tech said that loose wing nuts can cause arching, not good. We just had the battteries checked too. I will find out more tomorrow about what they fixed. We went to Stone Mountain and Coca Cola in Alanta.
