intellitec lighting

I have a 10 button lighting panel in the kitchen area of my 2007 Intrigue. The individual buttons flash on and off when lit. I have disconnected the panel to "reboot" the system and this did work a couple of times. Now that does not seem to work. The lights that are controled by another panel (duplicate buttons) work off that panel just fine. Is my panel bad? Or is there another problem.

Tony If the lights work off another panel, it could either be loose wire, hot or ground. If this checks out , then it is likely the 10 button switch panel. We saw one like this on another post a couple of weeks ago, and it was likely the switch panel , as well. The computing function is in the main panel in the closet, and I assume this is where you reset it. To buy and program the switch panel , you will likely have to go to OMC or the new Country Coach, who should have copies of the original programing. Also please state your full name and coach info, so others will be better able to help you. If your questions are regarding engine or transmission list that when asking a question of the board

Tony,

I had some strange problems with mine a while back. I removed the switch and disconnected the plug on the back. Then carefully sprayed small amounts of WD 40 inside each switch from the back and operated them a few times. Haven't had a problem since.

How do you remove the switch from the wall. I tried a light pressure to ply it off. Was afraid of breaking the cover plate.

There is a separate set of fuses for the intellect lighting system and they are usually hidden behind paneling. When you order a new switch panel it will come from intellect pre-programmed. We ordered ours thru Holland Motors and I am sure any other service center such as Eric Olstrom in Tucson or OMG can get you the switches. Intellitec will not talk to you.

Tony I don't agree that the switches come pre-programmed from Intellitec. I was having a problem with some of my switches as CC was going into Bankruptcy. I contacted a Intellitec, and they said they did not have all the programming for very manufacturer that bought their product. All Monaco and other coaches use their product. Intellitec said there is no way for them to know what has been programmed and to contact the manufacturer. That programming,I got from CC when they were operating in Chapter 7 mode, and LazyDays in FL, made the the corrections to the switch panel. IOf you bought it from Eric Olstrom , he may have had the programming, but virtually all floor plans , have different configurations. It might have been able to take the programming off the bad switch panel. If the switch panel is , in fact , completely inoperable , then CC would be the only source. Each light/function , has its own designation. Good luck, as this can be a simple or very difficult problem to fix, as one needs to know the identification of each and every light and function.

I went thru this last year. Holland Motors sent Intelligent a picture of the switch panel and the switch came back pre-programmed. When I contacted Intellitec they referred me to a outsourced service company who wanted a credit card to talk to me. I passed and went to Holland Motors who procured the switch panel and it did come programmed. If it doesn't come programmed then how to they get the correct names on the switch buttons?

Tony,

Let me tell U what I did so you don't do the same thing...
I had a switch in the bathroom that completely stopped working.
Having just enough electrical knowledge to get me in trouble, I did!!!! some how I shorted the switch out while testing it and almost everything in the coach on Electricity stopped working, even the toilet....
Thought I had only tripped the a breaker and tried and tried everything, every fuse I could find, but still no lights, no A/C and it was 95 outside, boy was my D/W upset with me. She called me a few names, I had not heard from her in a while.
Anyway....if you do cause stuff from working and can not find a fuse, the 95 cent fuse that cost me $150 to find by the RV repair location, was behind the breaker panel inside the coach. Why they put one 5 amp fuse back there that controls most everything in the coach, I'm at a loss for words. Just a word of caution.

What I forgot to add was that after they found the blown fuse and replaced it... that damn panel worked and it has worked just fine for the past 6 months.

Go figure....

Dan As I said , if the switch plate was not completely dead and only the buttons themselves, were not making contact, then the electronic board in the switch plate , would have all the data. The labels are removable, and are only a trip of plastic that have the switch names imprinted on them- they slip out the end of the switch plate. I have seen the program, itself on the laptop the LazyDays tech used. Each light/pump/etc has an alpha numeric designation, and one has to know that info. Again , if the electronic board in the switch was failed, the problem would be greater as Intellitec themselves don't have that info. Likely only the button switches were malfunctioning.

There is a way to check the panel to make sure it is bad. Feel free to contact me (Off Forum) if you like.

I was in Montana I sent Holland a picture of the switch and they ordered it from Intellitec and I ended up with a complete replacement. That's my story and I am sticking with it.
