ISC/L's with CAPS - Adding fuel pump to aid Lift Pump?
Yahoo Message Number: 81854
Hi - Still research CAPS, and things that can be done to reduce the risk of CAPS related Fuel Delivery failures. If I understood a post I read correctly on another board, sometimes the Lift Pump will fail, due to fuel starvation (Pump keeps running, but not enough fuel flow so it stops lubrication which can cause failure. As the fuel is not delivered evenly from the Lift Pump, then the Injection Pump part of the CAPS also may be impacted. (Note: This is a question, as much as it is an attempted summary. As I sure could have miss understood what was being explained on the other boards:)!))
So, my question, have any of you added an extra fuel pump, in front of the Lift Pump, to aid/provide more positive fuel flow? The AirDog is one such pump.
Thanks,
Smitty
