90mph

My wife is now aware of the 75mph rating, but only after the CAT computer told us she drove 90 mph. She says it was only for a few minutes and I believe that becauuse she usually drives slower the me. The wear on my front Toyo's was just on the outer edge and several tire people sugested that steer tire swould not wear on the edge because they don't have the big edge that the Toyo's does. Also the Toyo's were a harder riding tire because Toyo's were originally build for off the road dump trucks. the Michillens we currently have up front are only rated at 65 mph unless you add 10 pounds to the required air and then they are rated at 75mph. But thats no problem since these tire are able to carry 9200 pounds per tire. Our required inflation is 95 pounds and we run at 110. This is no higher then we ran our Toyo's but the ride is so much better.

We have Toyo tires (M111z 315/80R 22.5) on our 40' '03 Magna. A footnote in my Toyo Tire Guide says that the M111z tires have a maximum speed rating of 65 mph. What model Toyo tires did you have and where did you find the 75 mph rating?

My 2003 Intrigue has a sticker in the bathroom cabinet that has all the axle weights and the following information...

THIS COUNTRY COACH IS SPEED RATED MAX. 104.6 KMH (65 MPH)

I was refering to the Michilen tire we have on the front. In the Michilen tire book they rate our tires at 65 but there is small print at the bottom of the page that says you can do 75 if you add 10 pounds to your required air pressure. The speed ratings are for prolong periods of time and we rarely do over 65 for any long periods. I have never seen that 65 rating on the Toyo's but we always run our tires about 10 pounds over our required pressure, I like the margin of safety. My wife says she only did 90 for about 5 minutes and then she realized she was way above the speed she likes which is 60.
