The switch panel shows HIGH, MEDIUM, and LOW. Is the actual switch supposed to remain spring-loaded in the center at MEDIUM?
If the switch is held in either HIGH or LOW it returns to MEDIUM. There doesn't see to be any change of the Jake's effect, one way or the other.

CC Owner's book only refers to a different Jake switch.

Guidance requested.

Digger,

On my '03 Magna the Jake selector switch will stay wherever I set it. It is not spring loaded to medium.

My 2001 Affinity stays where I put it, just as the others have said. Perhaps a previious owner replaced the switch with something different.

The last thing I would want is a spring loaded switch. When driving in Colorado, Northern Nevada, Montana, etc. The switch is always in the highest position.

We have a 2000 Affinity and the 3-position Jake has decided not to stay in the High mode. This is new as it used to stay in which ever mode you wanted: low, medium, or high. Anyone ever replaced this position switch? Don & Sue, 2000 Affinity, 5681

The switch should be a 3 position switch. If it is spring loaded to the center position, it is either broken or the wrong switch.
